In ITMS 8.5 you have the ability to integrate ITMS 8.5 with SEP (Symantec Endpoint Protection) or with CCS-VM (Control Compliance Suite Vulnerability Manager).
With the SEP integration you are able to quarantine clients that are not compliant (a patch defined by an Altiris Admin is not installed on a Client). When you try to configure the SEP integration in ITMS you are asked to provide the server IP, username, password and the domain (when you are on ITMS 8.5 RU1) for the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Server.

When I configured the SEP integration the first time I was really confused what Default means….

Symantec changed this for the version 8.5 RU1 and renamed Default to Domain….

You have to provide the SEP domain not the windows domain!!!
The domain name can be found in the SEP Manager.

Hope this helps other Altiris Admins to configure the new ITMS – SEP integration!
