When trying to install Symantec 8.5 RU1 and you are running Symantec Installation Manager on Windows Server 2012R2 or 2016 and the language settings are set to German the SIM readiness check fails with the following error:
VC140Redist Bereitschaftsprüfung für die Installation konnte nicht ordunungsgemäß ausgeführt werden.
Currently there are two workarounds available to install 8.5 RU1.
- change the language on the Server to English and restart SIM
- enable-Next Button using this KB.
